I'm bored. Whats your favorite green steamer?

Theres no real point to this. I just need to post somthing that has to do with steam. meh

I voted for the Missabe Yellowstone. Second would be the Grande L-132.

PRR M1A

Now go paint some more cars.

Havent seen many of these before (i model modern stuff) but definitely any articulated engine will suffice as my favorite

My Vote for L-132, I’ve got one stashed away painted green.

Now we need a pole for your favorite blue steamer…

Green steam? Did they burn fresh lumber in those? Lots of leaves, maybe? [:o)][:D]

I think the Mallard was in green, wasn’t it? The one with the record for fastest recorded speed? Over there, where they bred Lucas electrics, and vertically split crankcases on motorcycles.

A certain 0-6-0-T with a face on it ,cut up into small chunks at the local scrapyard[}:)]!

Sorry espeefoamer, good answer for someone willing to do a “Blue steamers we would like to see scrapped” pole.

I was thinking of a certain, unique 0-6-0. You should know the answer.

Dave

The SOU Ps-4 gets my vote. Can’t beat those Southern steamers when it comes to green!

other…great northern 4-8-2

PRR any engine. They were all green although most people think they were black.

the CNW Stream Lined Pacific I belive. The one that looks kinda like the Hiawatha

Any locomotive NOT painted CN green [:D]

Gordon

An embarrasment of riches! Too bad we couldn’t poll w/, say choices 1-6. I’d go w/ the GN S-2, SR Ts-1 USRA Lt Mt, Ps-4 (W/Elesco fwhtr) Pennsy 1942 streamlined k-4s,
T-1, GN p-1 4-8-2, CNR 6060 (even if it is in CN green) oops! I’m over 6 already and I haven’t even pick out one of the GN articulateds.

The C&NW Streamlined eng that looked like the Hiawatha (even to the 84’ drivers) was an E-4 Hudson. A good choice. What is it about green paint?

Ye Gods, Aggro, you MUST be bored, LOL! Okay, I’ll bite. I’ll go with any of the GN steamers, because they LOOK like they need to be painted green. Something about those front-hung pumps and Glacier Green that just looks handsome and businesslike. Of the Rio Grande steamers, I think the best green job was on the early 3400 2-8-8-2’s, and the 1600 3-cylinder Mountains. Never could get with the L-132’s in green.

I can’t believe you all forgot HENRY!! [(-D]

Randy

We don’t want him getting more famous than Thomas now, do we?[:D] I think the best steam engine in green is the Southern USRA 4-8-2.

Coming up next, favorite green diesel!![:D][:)][^][8D][:D] (if you guys think I really should)

The CNR 6060 Mountain is nice but I like the 5700 Hudsons a bit better. Rob

I voted other only because of my beautiful new, shiney C&NW Hudson. Gawd, does it look great!!

maybe you need a hobby or something?
