Our United States Military - they keep us safe and keep our Freedoms (inspite of the politicians!)[bow]
FireFighters and Police Officers - Being a firefighter and knowing some of our Brothers in Blue (like Fife and PhilaKnight) they protect us domestically. WIth out them, no justice and no safety. Besides, WHO ELSE is gonna get Santa Claus through? The Rentacops at the MALL?[banghead]
My family and friends, though far from me physically, are always close by.

All the blessings that have been bestowed on me and I do not deserve
Country ham, grits, red eye gravy and sweet ice tea.
For all the places I have been in the past few years and having a chance to meet so many good folks [Buckeyes too].
Not having to live in a frigid wasteland with snow up to the toot toot like Ioway [actually loved the snow in Idaho].
Not having to worry about shaking or baking as some do. Have to add sliding to that I guess.
God bless all.
Oh, I am also thankful for all the guys and gals on this forum that have helped me out through rough times. I am sorry I forgot to thank everyone.[8)]
I have to say, I enjoyed reading everyones lists.
I’ve been through a lot in my short little life: 2 head one car accidents, both in VW bugs… only by the grace of God I lived through both. Lost my entire life long artistic output and career in a fire that destoryed everything and left me bankrupt. Spent over 2 years out of work when the ecomomy in my area took a nosedive. And I could go on, and yet still, I have so much more to be thankful for.
The scriptures list properity as having clothes on your back, a roof over your head, food to eat and having a little left over to help the poor. So by that thinking, I am living in prosperity. Once in awhile though, I start feeling sorry for myself wondering why this and why that. Then, like last night, I heard a broadcast on the growing “sex trade” particularily in SE Asia and the children forced into it, and that knocked the wind out of my sails. Thank you Lord, I did have a childhood! Lionel trains were a part of that, but I still had a childhood!
I agree with the sentiment above, that sometimes here we step on eachother’s toes. But isn’t that even a great thing to be thankful for… that we have this forum to do that, and to ultimately share a real love for this wonderful little hobby of ours. I have long said that we are spoiled in the hobby today with the vast array of trains available now. The diversity of products today should give us all something to be thankful for… on a long list of other things actually more important to be thankful for.
