I don’t like to complain, but is there someway we can put a limit on the size of images uploaded to the forums? Some of us don’t have the fastest internet connections in the world, in fact, some of us may still be using dial up (not me, but my connection is not much better!) and so when we want to look at threads like WPF (a favorite of mine) despite the beautiful modeling we find there, it becomes an ordeal to go from page to page. This is especially true when someone uploads a picture that is 3200x2400 pixels!
On top of that, Kalmbach has seen fit to pepper the forums with graphic intensive advertisements - all of which need to be reloaded with each and every time you change a page!
Personally, I see no need for any uploaded photo to be more than 1000 pixels in the longest dimension. If we could keep our picture uploads to something like that, it would make the forums work that much faster.
It is easy to clip your digital photos down to that size (if I can do it anybody can!) and those of us who, as I said before, don’t have the best internet connections in the world would really appreciate it!
For myself, I would rather see us do this on a voluntary basis, rather than invoking the powers of our benevolent dictators! (Kalmbach! [;)])
