Sad to hear.
I really like all of the old Campbell Scale Models detail parts. They were a real help of my first scratchbuilding project when I was 12. I really hope that they continue making thier great products.
Alexander
my condolences. always enjoyed building their kits.
Sorry to hear the news. His kits were real nice and a great addition when there was not the variety of structures there are today. My condolences to his family and friends.
My condolences to the Campbell family. I built several of the wood kits over the years and I was always impressed with their simple, straight-forward instructions and the cleancut parts. He will be missed. God Speed, Leo.
Another Great Light in Model Railroading has dimmed and gone out. Lie peacefully in thy earthly bed, Leo. Your work is your monument, and it’s a beautiful thing.
I have a number of Campbell kits on my railroad which make it VERY special. I also have a number of Campbell kits still in the future build pile! I not only like them, I love them and I cannot thank Leo and family enough for the hours of model railroading enjoyment they have brought me over the years. All my best to his Family!
My Condolences to the family. His kits got me started in structure building. I still have a few Cambell kits I picked up at train shows. some day I will get them built.
My condolences to Mr. Campbell’s family. I have always enjoyed building Campbell kits. It is sad to lose a great model railroading pioneer.
I am in N scale and he produced some great kits. I wish we could have seen more. I enjoyed building them and they look great on my layout. The laser cut kits are OK but cannot replace the Campbell kits. Sorry to hear of the lost of one of the great contributors to the model railroading hobby.
My condolences to the family of Mr. Campbell. Campbell kits were/are truly fine products that allow the “non-craftsman” modeler to produce a craftsman-level finished. I have several awaiting completion. Thank you Leo, for your contributions to our hobby.
I’m so sorry to hear of Mr. Campbell’s passing. I have built a fair number of the Campbell kits and have always enjoyed the experience. My thoughts go out to his family.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Mr. Campbell’s family. I have built a number of his kits and still have a large number of them to be built.
Mr. Campbell was a great contributor to our hobby, and I am sure his memery will remain amoung the model train industry and the model railroaders who appreciate the well deailed kits he manufactured.
May God rest his soul.
Leo Campbell made some real strides in craft style kits. I’ve built several of his kits since he first started the business. He was a real pioneer.
All our condolences from the guys at Campbell Scale Models. Leo was our inspiration. He will be greatly missed. Please keep Ruth and the family in your prayers. In his honor, we will continue his legacy to product fine craftsman kits at CampbellKit.com.
