In need of a Micro-Train part number...

I want to body-mount all my rolling stock (N scale) so am in need of info as to wich MT coupler I should order.I would like to use short, medium and long shanks as I have different car types but would settle for medium if need be.I need the pre-assembled type (with the box) that I’d either screw or glue as assembling them is a nightmare to me (eyesight not that great any more and that spring gets me frustrated too) and also would like to buy them in bulk packs if possible. So can someone direct me to the right ones? Thanks.

A number of modelers use MicroTrains Z scale couplers for body mounting on N scale cars. They look better than N scale couplers (closer to the correct size) and are said to operate well and work with MicroTrains N scale couplers so it may not be necessary to convert all your cars at once.

The MT %905 Z scale is assembled and should worh on most N scale cars.

Body mounting may increase the minimum track radius required

I’m not into N scale, so I’ll keep out of any N vs Z debate.

To try to help with your question, the following link is to conversion charts that Micro-Trains has that make recommendations as to which coupler will go on each car: http://www.micro-trains.com/00_conversions.htm

And the following link gives a description as to what the various coupler sets are. I note that some of them are sold assembled: http://www.micro-trains.com/pl-NCouplers.php

Hope this helps you out a little.
