In search of a modern looking yard tower.

I have been looking for a modern looking yard tower that are used by most of the major roads (the large airport trafic control tower looking structures), but have been unsuccessful in my search. Any suggestions?

If you can wait a while, there will be a brass-etched model of the Barstow Yard Tower in both N and HO scales.

Jeff, thanks for your input. I have never seen that one before and of course Walthers shows it is out of stock, go figure. LoL…

Riverside BNSF. I know it is toy like, but I do have a couple of these.

Being a Santa Fe fan and just getting in the hobby I bought two of them. With some work they might meet your needs. If you need a better picture let me know. I will never use them again so I would be happy to let one go.

Jeff, thanks for posting those pics of your layout. Your intermodal yard is awesome and that building is freakin huge. What material did you use for your black top and concrete surfaces? Also, who makes your diesel house I see in the upper right hand corner? I like the looks of it. I agree, post more pics for us.

reggie the power house is just sitting there no home for it yet

the blacktop and concrete is drywall mud.the diesel house is from pikestuff

hey i really like the layout now that you have shown a little more of it. man what great work you have done. cant wait to see photos of the power plant in place with the way you have done all of your other facilties. queston for you how big is your layout?

sweet i almost had the space you had but my wife made me put a movie theater and weightroom in the basement but i will settle for the 16’ x 34’ space i was allowed. but anyway nice layout and work you have done thus far. also do you have a site/webpage that has your layout in more depth.

The web site worked. All I have to say is WOW. I think your layout is fantastic. I only wish I could have that much room, but then again id probably be broke. I really like what you have done with the grain elevator by expanding it. I have just started building the same one and you have given me some great ideas. Thank you for sharing your progress with the rest of us. Keep up the good work.
