Hello all-
I’ve finished my benchwork and I’m strarting to look at how my layout will look once on the foam. I’ve decided to rework my dock area, and I wanted to add a large industrial warehouse. I’m almost certain that Walthers had a Cornerstone model that was a large industrial warehouse building that went in a dock region.
I also think it’s discontinued, so I was hoping someone might know the name of it so that I coudln’t see if my old friends eBay or Google might be able to help me find things
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hey Roadslug,
If you miss that auction give the Hobby Depot in Monroe Wi a call. When I was there two weeks ago they still had one on the shelf. There might also be one in Madison at the Hobby Stop.

This is a nice building. I was told it is modeled after one on Delaware Avenue in Philadelphia. I drove down and sure enough it is very similar to one. I can’t remember the pier # and it is south of Market St. I have this kit and you will like it.

There’s also this one, which was called the Waterfront Warehouse. [swg] I used two kits to build this semi-flat background structure, with enough left-over to build another partial structure elsewhere on the layout. The unseen back and far end are .060" sheet styrene.

Doctor Wayne, that is one impressive structure. It exemplifies the relationship of industial building size to railroad car size that looks believable.

Thanks, Mark. I have a few others that are reasonably large, but it’s often difficult to have believeable-sized buildings and still have room left for the trains. [;)]
This complex is over 6’ long, and is meant to represent about 1/3 of the total structure. (Walthers and some scratchbuilt, too)
And another, built using DPM modular walls, plus some scratchbuilt components:

I really wish they would release that and the barge in n-scale…

Just curious if anyone had any experience with this on their layout; I wanted to put something together similar to what they have pictured on the box (the terminal building with a pier section adjacent with the large overhead crane) and wante to know if anyone had experiences good/bad with it.
Many thanks
