Industrial rail n scale

Does anybody know who purchased the n scale department of Industril Rail ?

bennieh

I don’t know about their N scale products, but the company’s address is Champaign, Illinois, the same as Horizon Hobby, the owners of Athearn and Model Die Casting.

Industrial Rail products in HO scale were cheaply made. I think I paid something like $1.98 for a gondola or boxcar a few years ago just out of curiosity to see what it would be. I’ll never make that mistake again.

The HO ones are saw were the cheapest of the Lifelike line - same paint, same numvers.

I noticed the same thing in N-scale, but the Industrial line was more poorly painted than the LL versions. I wonder if they purchased the line from Lifelike.
