I have a lantern marked B & N St Rwy. I was hoping some knowledgable person could help me identify the railroad.

Sounds like a trolley or interurban line…“B… and N…Street Railway”…where do yo live? Where did you find it? Towns, cities, counties, etc., around you or around where you found it starting with "B’ and “N” will be the clues to the name.
I have no personal knowledge but I did find this about the Boston & Northern Street Railway.

Through consolidations, the lease was transferred to the Lowell, Lawrence & Haverhill Street Railway on Nov. 20, 1900 and to the Lynn & Boston Railroad on May 6, 1901. The Lynn & Boston was renamed the Boston & Northern Street Railway on July 23, 1901 and became the Bay State Street Railway on Aug. 8, 1911 after absorbing the affiliated Old Colony Street Railway on July 1 of that year. The Boston & Northern, the Old Colony and the Bay State all were controlled by the Massachusetts Electric Companies, which appears to have sold all but 10 shares of its Nashua Street Railway stock, possibly at a premium, to private investors in 1901.
From 1901 through 1917 the Nashua Street Railway’s lines were operated as the Nashua Division of the Boston & Northern and the Bay State. The Nashua Division was the smallest operating division of both the Boston & Northern and the Bay State Street Railways as there was only 14.17 miles of main track.fter two extensions on Main and Lake Streets, by the end of Dec. 31, 1917 the division was reported as having 14.82 miles of first main track plus other trackage for a total of 16.32 miles.
