Found 3 Walthers HO kits in Exclnt. shape. PRR MU coaches. Wheels and
motors incld. But these cars were Electric powered from overhead Wires.
I need a source for HO Pantagraphs?..[8D] My location is Florida…

Try the Walters catalog and then a google search for “HO pantagraphs”. The threads in this forum indicate that its an advanced modelers task to make them a workable situation.

Unless you are into traction you might consider selling or trading them to someone with an interest in this particular subspecialty.

You’ll do better if you spell the word “pantographs” when you search…

Its not really that hard to do. Chances are that the cars can be powered by track power or overhead. If you desire to power it from the overhead, it just means wiring the catenary so that only (+ or -) is provided. Then insulate the opposite side of the trucks. Wire the motor so the pole or PANTOGRAPH provides one leg ( say +) and the truck provides the other ( - in this case). If you want track power only, you should be able to wire the trucks accordingly. If not replace the truck. Don’t get rid of them. I suspect they interested you if you got them. If you can find a copy of the Traction Guidebook, it will help. I hope this helps.

I have an Acela locomotive and it also uses Catenary and Pantograph. But mine came equiped to use eaither track power only or track and catenary

Are you looking for pantographs or trolley poles? Pantographs were used on some traction lines, but trolley poles were more common. Bowser sells them and they can be found on eBay as well.

And then there’s always third-rail power–there’s a variety of ways to do it.
