This kind of worldwide exposure and marketing should do a lot to help cross-breed ideas and improve best practices, to the benefit of us all. Thanks for the InnoTrans 2012 Innovation Report Website link, chock full of exciting developments.
And to think that at one time the USA led the world in railroad innovation. I remember the railroad exhibit at the 1939 New York Worlds Fair. It was the highlight of the entire fair, in my opinion. Then came the 1964 NY Worlds Fair…not a thing there from the railroads. We should be again leading the world in rail technology and products…any chance of that happening?
Not quite nothing at the 1964 World Fair, I remember a WG class 2-8-2 large scale model in the Indian Pavilion. The Indians were still building steam at that time
