Hi everyone. Recently I purchased the above DCC equiped HO locomotive and wondered if I can install a Broadway Limited sound decoder in this loco?. Or would someone give me advise on another good sound decoded that I can install without much problem in the event (very likely) that I go full DCC on my layout which is now DC. I have a Broadway limited 4-8-4 and the sound is totally awesome that’s way I ask this question…thanks
BLI doesnt make after market sound moduals.
You best choice is a Soundtraxx Tsunami Heavy.

If the BLI model you have is an older one, it would have the QSI sound installed. If it is a Blue Line model that came out more recently, it will have the BLI sound that is not available as a stand alone product.
The Tsuami as advised above is a good option since the Niagra used a horn. The heavy Tsunami has a horn for the Daylight GS4, which is a single bell type horn.
I would replace the DCC drive also if I owned the Bachmann.

You can get an aftermarket QSI sound system, if the one you have has a QSI system and you like it. If you take off the body of the tender (usually on BLI engines it’s a snap or pressure fit, no screws) you usually will see QSI on the decoder somewhere.
The Broadway Limited is the new 4-8-4 with their own sound module which I have to use the DC MASTER Control instead of the Quantum box unit to activate horns, etc…Also is putting in a Tsunami sounds system difficult, since I have never installed one?, and I will have to full DCC in order to use it right?
Negative, the QSI-R steam sound schemes are not available as of yet.

The QSI Rev steam are due to be realesed soon.
They were saying that over a year ago…I wouldnt hold my breath just yet.
