Installing a decoder in an Altas N-scale RS-1

Fellers,

I’d like to upgrade my fleet with a couple of diesels, and since, in my layout’s era, (WWII) the RS-1 is now available, I’m giving it serious thought.

However, It’s a right small little beast, and I’m wondering if it’s even possible to install a decoder, let alone a sound decoder in one of them.

Anyone here have any experience with such a thing? I’d be greatful for any and all replies. Thanks in advance,

I can’t see any way you can squeeze a sound decoder in there though.
