installing bd20's with peco insulfrogs

Hiya folks
I had a bit of a question . I’m going to be installing bd20’s one for
each staging yard track on each track there will be a Peco insulfrog
turnout on each end of track, its a reverse loop staging yard track.I
know that the insulfrog is none power routing points because of the
plastic frog thus the polarity of the frog is not effected by the
direction of the point rail. My question is because each length of
yard track has to be insulated from each other for the bd20 to work
properly do I put the plastic track connector between the flex track
length and the turnout or after the turnout or does it matter ?
the pic I put in the thread shows where I put the plastic insulators there marked with a red line can use tell me if this is the correct place for them
Thankyou
Lynn

What is a BD20? Some sort of electronic auto-reversing circuit? If so why put one on each track, put a single one in the actual loop.

On the other hand I am wondering, why is this staging area broken into two parts why aren’t all the secondary tracks on one side or the other of the loop?

TZ I thought the same and posted my thoughts then deleted it, then googled a BD20, Occupancy Detectors that’s why so many track breaks. I think Lynn has it right, but maybe not the two on the left?

Ken.

Ah ha! Yes I agree, for occupancy detection the red marks look like good places for the insulated joiners.

Is this a hidden yard? For long hidden tracks, I will often break them into three detection segments so I know if a train is at one end, in the middle, or at the other end.

Thanks guys yes this is a hidden yard under the bench work just as the plan shows other than the decline each track will have a block detector and be wired to an led panel. For your question of why is it in 2 sections if you look at it cafefully (and sorry I should have put an arrow indictaing ) you can see the beginning of the decline starting in the lower right leg on the left side the track travels down at a 2.5% grade to 18" below onto a level staging track. the yard goes around and rejoins at the reverse loop joint which is the next task figuring how to wire an OGAR or better known as an autoreverser.
But if you guys agree the insulators are correct according to the plan well away I go .
TY
Lynn
