How best to install slotted brushes? They keep falling out due to pressure from the spring in the slot of tube. These are not the kind that have a cap covering the brush tube. Thank you

Assemble the motor completely except for the brushes.
Using a fine piece of wire with one end shaped into a hook, lift the brush spring up & to the side, drop the brush in and release the spring. Repeat for the second brush.
