Installing Torti

I have a 1/2" plywood base covered with 2" foam and cork roadbed. I will be installing my first Tortois soon.
What size hole do I need and what is the best tool for this?

BB, I remember several thread a while ago on that very topic. There are several ways of mounting the torti that can work. I think Joe Fugate had some info on it. Check out the thread “A compilation of useful threads”.
