I have a question about the “Instant Horizons” Im sure all of you have used them or using them now,my question is: Do any of you cut the sky off before putting them up ? Ive already painted my walls to look like a sky and all of the Horizon skies dont match color wise so Im wandering should I cut the sky out and just use the background? All of your collective expertise is appreciated…
Yes,I thot I would leave a tiny bit of sky around trees but everything else will be cut right up against the horizon…The way Ive painted my sky is hazy like at ground level then gets bluer the higher in the sky you go…
Cutting off the sky probably would make the installation easier and more reliable. There was a photo in another recent post with a large Instant Horizons type backdrop and it had a big wrinkle in the middle. It kind of ruined the scene.
In my experience it’s just about impossible to hide the seam in the sky area of the backdrops, but if you cut the sky out it’s usually not too hard to hide the seam in the buildings/scenery portion.
