Instructions for Walther's Chain Link Fence

I picked up a used kit for the Walther’s chain link fence but it doesn’t have instructions on how to assemble/attach the material. I tried the Walther’s web site but didn’t see anything pertaining to instruction sheets. Does anyone know where I can get them?

Bob,

Best I could come up with:

In general, Walthers does have instructions on their server in PDF format. I lost the instructions for my carfloat kit, which by that time was “retired” again. I e-mailed Walthers and had a set of instruction in my in-box within half an hour.

It sure made my day.

But, well, the instructions leave something to be desired.

Start with a clean piece of wood, a 1x2 about a foot long or so. I space the vertical posts about an inch apart, so I penciled in a line down the center of the wood block, and drilled small holes for the fence posts at 1-inch intervals. I put 1 post in each hole, and then started attaching the horizontal pieces. Once the glue is dry, I add the fabric and trim the excess with scissors.

I paint the fence with silver rattle-can spray paint, and then coat that with Dull-Coat to take down the shine. Some rust-colored weathering powder can be added to give it more “character.”

Frank,

Thanks, that is exactly what I needed.
