I accidentally left out an insulated joiner. Does anybody have any good Ideas how to install one on a glued down track?

Cut the gap in the rail with a Dremel or hobby saw.

What Rich said. You can fill the gap with a piece of styrene, exotic it, or super glue with a bit of baking soda. Then file it down.
