The North Shore’s Electroliners were post-Insull, but the thrill of sitting in the “railfan seat” of one in January, 1963 and watching the speedometer top off at 92 mph coming southbound down the Skokie Valley will live with me forever.
These pictures remind me of riding the Red Arrow lines outside of Phila. Penna. back in the 60’s.
