Intereseting Office car move on the NS Pittsburgh Line at Duncannon, Pennsylvania

As I was sitting near a former PRR stone arch bridge at Duncannon, Pa along the Norfolk Southern Pittsburgh Line last Wednesday, I caught this Eastbound move…a Conrail-blue GP40-2 pulling two Norfolk Southern Tuscan red business cars. http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=169091

Dave…Believe I read recently NS purchased some F units to put together a {I suppose a new business train}…But they wouldn’t be ready until this coming Spring. Was that in TRAINS…

Great picture.

Nice Catch…

Yes…NS has acquired an A-B-B-A set of F units…They are presently in Altoona for evaulation and refurbishment. They will be reportedly repainted into a Black Southern livery with white striping. No confirmed timeframe for their release for service, though one report that I read said April 2007. They will be used for NS’ Business train…which I imagine will be based out of Altoona as much if not all of the NS Office car fleet is kept at Altoona under roof when not in use.
