Apparently he had to move and dismantle but he was advertising as “Free layout tour”. Anybody out there get a chance to look at this when it was still operating? Not really my style but it seems kinda neat.
This guy certainly doesnt date much, thats for sure.
I could see a small layout tucked in the corner in a small apartment like this but this is a little over the top to me…read the “Page 8” section…wow!..
I always wanted to see what an apartment would look like with trains in everyroom. Now I can scratch that off my “to do list” [:)]
I’d give the guy a pass on this one. He’s a janitor at Boeing with a Forrest Gump I.Q. Boeing sent him to their company shrink for applying for the CEO job there. Apparently he was “overqualified” for the job [:D]
I have a job that takes me away from home for long periods of time. I have done modular (domino) layouts in an apartment. Although not to the degree pictured here. When I changed jobs, I could easily move the layout. When I was single, I had a large two track oval (HO scale) domino layout which ran the perimiter of the living-dining room for a 14’ x 24’ layout. When I got married the layout came down!
I recently built a new home for the wife with a large 1800 sq ft basement which is all mine. My previous apartment layout is set up in the basement until I can build the large dream layout. I am on the road again, so I have a small modular layout in the apartment. The apartment layout sections are designed to be incorporated into the large home layout.
I think the guy needs to stay away from the Nyquil. It seems to get him in loads of trouble at work. Can’t say the guy is trying to move up though. from Janitor to CEO of Boeing? That’s not only a step up but a trip to the moon and back in a single bound!
Some parts of the house should be off limits to the trains. I can see the big derailment into the kitchen sink. Not a good place for the locomotive to end up…chuck
