You just never know what you’re going to come accross when searching google. I came accross a web page whith some interesting photos and thought that other people would be interested in seeing this page as well. When you scroll down, the first three pictures look normal, then things get interesting… CNW on how to not plow, Conrail second unit engulfed in flames (I can only imagine what the CR conductor is saying as he leans way out the front unit) & a really bad order tank car. If you go back to the home page and find the RR photo link, there are more good pictures. The CSX page shows some good photos regarding the not so good track conditions on CSX.

I have seen a lot of those pictures over at csxsucks.com, I wonder if he took them, or found them? If they are his, he must have donated to csxsucks or they took them.

I think this one was planned by the autos inside, trying to avoid being sold [:D]

Just a off the topic thought here, if those pictures are on csxsucks, I think the guy there is mis-representing csz. From the looks of some of the derailments and stuff he posts, he blames csz, when in fact looks like ns and others. Hmmm…

What a mess, but I wonder if a fire has gone and wiped out the entire locomotive starting from the turbo/engine/traction motor . . .

What in the world happened to the rails in a couple of those shots? It looks like the steel MELTED.

Are you talking about the ones that look round on the rail? I think, and I could be wrong, an engine sat and spun way to long.

Why doesn’t that nuclear reactor look like the toy, with flashing lights and everything?

I’m a little bit concerned about that CF7 with the Barney sticker on the nose! What’s up with that? It’s creeping me out a bit. When I was a kid, I watched Barney for a while and then all of a sudden just became totally freaked out by him. I’m not so “freaked out” by him now, but I still hate that dinosaur.

I’m intrigued by the picture of the CNW plow train derailment. I’d like to know more about what happened.

Who stomped on the tank car, and what would cause the rail on one of the CSX pics to look like it melted??

Geez, I didn’t even notice the “Barney” in the first picture… I said that the first pic was “normal”. The picture of the reactor is funny because of the caption about the police and the protesters. Count those protesters!!

Don’t know what happened with the CNW plow incident… probably picked a switch. Or, maybe the two units and plow lost the rails & decided to splitup & go in different directions trying to find it.

Barney poster… I’m surprised that loco doesn’t have spray paint all over it. I heard Conrail went into the ground after the breakup… I didn’t relize they were going up in flames.

Two items:

  1. Barney is a PERVERT. He has shifty eyes, only has two teeth, doesn’t wear clothes, and hangs around little kids . . .

  2. There have been several examples of those collapsed tank cars. They get steamed out, and some idiot puts the cap back on. As the air inside cools, it contracts, and the air pressure from outside is sufficient to collapse the tank. They’re supposed to leave the tank caps off until the thing cools . . .
