Since when have AC4400CW’s had whistles, and not horns?
The language is Canadian rather than American…thus whistle might be the terminology. As for “wigwam”, I think you mean “wig wag” which was a waging disc on the end of an arm that caught your eye to realize that the signal was indicating a train was approaching…in combination with the bells of course. The alternating blinking red lights replaced the wig wag.

Wasn’t he the same fellow who stood on a street corner and said “chance” to every woman that passed. One attractive young lady finally stopped and asked “I thought Indians were supposed to say “How”?” To which he replied “I know how, just give me a chance!”
