Intermodal cars

Hi,
I have been looking at intermodal and I have been dazed by all the options. I think I have settled on these cars from Walthers.

Is there anything that I should know about these? I have seen some people put containers in these so I assume Walthers?? makes containers for these.

Hi Andrew,

I have a 3-set of these cars and they are great. They’re made of metal and the weight makes them track fine even when empty. Check them out of the package before you leave the store; mine had 2 corner steps off (but still in the box). The drawbars are wider and thinner than the real thing. They could be a problem on tight turns or sharp turnouts but you could easily make them narrower. Every model of container I have fits ok in the well. And they can be stacked as long as I match brands because there is no standard in corner pins dimension and shape.
