Intermodal Cars

I was looking to add some intermodal cars to my N scale inventory. Does anyone have any pros or cons to share about the Kato articulated sets or Athearn’s 48’ well cars? They both look good in the store, but how do they run (empty & loaded)?

I have HO scale, not N; but between the two brands you list Kato is always my choice if available. Athearn is okay, but not as good as Kato, and I’m sure the same applies regardless of scale.

I have Walthers & Athearn HO scale cars. Both run fine loaded or unloaded or any combination inbetween. Looking to get a Kato set of cars, but most likely not until early next year.
