Intermountain F-7s with sound and DCC

Does anyone have an Intermountain F-7 with sound and DCC. How do they run. How is the sound? Looking for some recommendations. Thanks.

I have a full ABBA set, all with sound. I’m currently running them on DC, DCC conversion is planned at some point. They run and sound great, and if/when I can swipe…er, uh, borrow my brother’s camcorder, I’ll post a video.

If they ever run F3’s in Southern green, I might just trade my Genesis units in for them (which are DC units), unless I install good sound decoders first.

I still can’t decide which runs better: my Stewart FT’s and F3’s, the Genesis F3’s, or I/M FP7’s (and F7B’s).

I’ve got a couple in the old ONR colours and I’m happy with them. They pull a 5 car passenger train with no problems. They are nicely detailed as well. I’m not sure how accurate the sounds are but they sound good to me.

The issue I have with them is 2 fold:

  1. They do NOT sound like F7s

  2. They only come with a Wabco type horn sound.
