Can anyone tell me what non sound board are in these models please?
Ive looked on the Soundtraxx website and they list 2 “mobile decoders” , an MC1 and an MC2.
Its abit annoying when it mentions nothing about the decoders in the user manual, only for the sound version!
The markings on the baord are MC- IM84 which is not much help either.
Do they have a plug on the board? Is it a 9 pin JST or the NMRA 8 pin side by side? If there is no plug then a board replacement type decoder is needed or you can hard wire a shrink wrapped decoder in it.

Pete, the non sound version have their own DCC dual mode decoder in them fitted from the factory and as such there are no NMRA plugs. Its a dual mode decoder made by Soundtraxx. There must be a way to fine tune these to make them run better, with my experiance with any Soundtraxx decoder, the default settings leave alot to be desired. I shot Soundtraxx an email, if i can find out what decoder is in these things, i can then download the manual for it. I wanted to avoid a complete decoder replacement if at all possible since this is more money.
Thanks for the reply.
The best thing to do is contact Intermountain about it. More then likely Soundtraxx did not make it. It could be something like a stripped down Lenz or some other aftermarket decoder modified to fit their requirements.
