Hello i am a ho scale modeler that models the modern canadian pacific railway. I am writing this post to get any reaction about how well are the intermountain railway locomotives and how effective they are compared to other top manufacters like proto,atlas ,kato,etc. I am planning on getting the new intermountain ge es44ac and would like to know if anyone has any feedback on locos from intermountain esp with performance and sound. I look forward from hearing from you guys about this before i submit any reservations for the new es44ac by nov 30
Well I don’t know if this is much help, because I don’t use DCC or sound, but I have a number of Intermountain F3’s and FP7’s and they are very well detailed and run very nice - no problems at all.
I would buy another Intermountain loco without hesitation.
The model was just announced and will not be available until March/April 2010. It will have Soundtraxx Tsunami sound. The ‘F’ units were good runners, so maybe this will also be a good running engine.
Hi, I have some Intermountain locos and they are good. I also have pre ordered the same one as you . It will be sometime next year before they will be shipped.
I run about 4 of the Intermountain F-series units in N scale, and they’re as good as Kato if not better. I have no reason to believe that their HO units would be any different.
