Has anyone here ordered something from internettrains.com?
Yes!
Yep. No problems
Yes several times. I’ve always received good service and prompt shipping from them. Far better IMHO than Internet Hobbies.

Yes, I like them, their prices are not always the lowest, but they want my business so I shop them if they have what I want. My favorite online hobby shop is 1st place hobbies.
No.
I was about to place an order, but saw the picture of their governor on the front page. That was enough to send my money elsewhere.
They’re probably a very honest company. I’m just turned off by their choice of graphics.

Yes. Their prices aren’t the lowest but they’re lower than the LHS. I received my order promptly and they answered my questions when I e-mailed them.
I’ve placed 3 or 4 order with them. No problems whatsoever. BTW: I started a thread a few weeks ago “Mail Order/Internet Heros.” Lot of folks posted good reviews of several internet companies.
I ordered a Bachman Engine in early December. To date, and after several inquiries, I still don’t have the merchandise and no reply from them, so I don’t know the shipping status. I get no confirmation of my order being in the queue for shipment at their website. They don’t answer their phone either. They quickly charged my credit card, but haven’t been so quick to fill the order. I would caution anyone before doing new business with them.
Internet trains, or discounttrains…the latter has been scourged soundly here over the past four weeks. The former has an excellent reputation.
It’s the other way around, but with an extra-sleaze warning. Internet Trains has apparartly had trouble getting things shipped, even though they have no trouble charging your credit card the moment an order is placed. www.discounttrainsonline.com is a good, reputeable company that many of us have used without any problems.
The sleaze factor for Internet Trains is www.discountrainsonline.com, a web site whose URL differs by only one letter, the double T at the end of “discount” and the start of “trains.” Apparantly, the web-savvy characters at Internet Trains have registered that URL, and use it to direct people to their own site. (Clicking is believing. That’s why I provided both URLs.)
Note that the early posts on this thread which indicated good results were from 2004. More recent threads paint a different picture.
A few weeks back, the Associated Press news agency made an editorial decision to “not report any news about Paris Hilton for two weeks.” I thought that was a great idea, and I’d suggest that maybe we take a similar moritorium on Internet Trains threads?
