Internettrains.com

A few months ago, it seemed like there was a weekly post about the long delays and non-shipments of orders from InternetTrains.com. Has anyone had any dealings with them as of late? I was just wondering if their service has improved.

With all of the problems people had been having with them, why would anyone care? I’d just write them off.

I would not want to do business with them to find out the level of service… uh uh. Im perfectly content with my two hobby shops.

If time isnt an issue, internettrains.com if fine to order from. I just placed an order around the beginning of June, and my order arrived at the post office in the middle of last week, the fourth actually. I dont think you can beat the prices and the selections, but it is better to just go to the LHS if you want it now, instead of a month later. Supporting the LHS is better anyways.

I’ve ordered from them many times and yes they are slower than grandma, molasses in the wintertime, and something resembling the pace between a snail and a turtle race.

Usually, they have to back order a lot of the stuff I’ve ordered from them in the past, but eventually they come through. I don’t think it’s them all the time. A lot of the wholesale manufacturers that they buy from don’t make enough runs on certain products to satisy the hobbiest demands, so they have to wait until another run is made before they can actually stock the item and then send the product to you. I waited an entire year for a set of metal trucks from them a few years ago. They just showed up in the mail one day long after I ordered them and eventually forgot about the order I placed…chuck

I just ordered some ground throws on the 7th. I’ll keep you guys posted as to when they arrive. I have dealt with them before and have not had any negative issues.
