I have an unsupported theory that it was a vibrant red Southern Pacific applied to cab roofs on select power that received special paint in the teens and twenties. question: what would be a suitable color without appearing garish? Sash and Cab doors displayed a medium red that is well documented through existing paint chips, but the formula for interurban red has been lost to the ages, in vintage photos taken in ideal lighting conditons the roof is obviously much lighter then the aforementioned trim. My naked M-6 awaits a decision!
