Iowa Interstate to host passenger specials
Let’s hear it for a regional railroad that is open to something new & different! Community involvement, supporting volunteerism, a good corporate citizen. This is the same line that hosts the Hawkeye Express rail shuttles for U of Iowa home football games (operated by Iowa Northern Railroad on IAIS track) and stated that it is be willing to host Amtrak service between Des Moines and Chicago before Iowa’s benighted governor nixed Iowa’s part of the route. (It says above that I live in Maine, but I lived in eastern Iowa until about six years ago, and Iowa is still “home”.)
While we’re talking IAIS passenger specials, anyone have any idea what’s going on with their QJs?
The QJ’s are being transferred to new owners from what i herd.
