Isn’t this train part of the Chicago & North Western Historical Society convention taking place in neighboring Cedar Falls that weekend?

Yes it is. I am not involved in the meet planning, but it looks like the train must be open to the public also.

Vinton, will be great, but a trip to Oelwein, Iowa would be super. The ride across the Cedar River in Down town W’loo would be a once in a life time. How about it, Iowa Northern?

Is this trip using the Hawkeye Express cars?

IANR has to use CN tracks to get through Waterloo and Cedar Rapids and CN probably won’t let them run a passenger train.
