Iowa Pacific acquires controlling interest in Cape Rail

Don’t think that photo is of an excursion, rather the delivery of 4 new MBTA coaches that arrived in New Bedford from Hyundai Rotem in Korea.
I hope Iowa Pacific won’t scrap that really sharp Mass Coastal RR paint scheme in favor of something else. That livery is worthy of an F or an E unit. The MBTA bilevels in the consist almost match it, too, but no cigar. Hats off to the regionals and short lines who are keeping colorful diesel power alive.
Iowa Pacific is said to ha e bought 2 or 3 E8s from Larry’s Truck and Electric for Cape Cod service. Two of them are ex NYSW.
