Am I the only one who is IRRITATED with Walthers ?
On the products that Walthers makes in CHINA at their low labor costs, and WE, the purchaser, at Walthers’ high prices, are expected to drill, install, and paint the wire hand grabs ?
Perhaps someone knows the reason for this.
Don’t tell me that it would be too difficult to ship. If that is Walthers’ excuse they need new packaging engineers.
Actually, Walther’s Gold Line is their fully assembed RTR product: Grab irons and pieces parts are already installed for you. Personally, I’d wi***hey’d get back to producing more kits. But there seems to be an increasing number of modelers (or so we are told) that don’t want to monkey with kits.
Don’t get me wrong. RTR models have their place and I understand that, for a variety of reasons, not everyone possesses the handskills, desire, patience, or inclination to put a kit together. Still…kits seem to be dimishing from the shelves at an alarming rate, in preference to RTR. To me, that’s a sad state of affairs. To me, building my layout is as much (if not more) fun than running it.
