IRT

On my way to a CSX hiring fair type 'o thing on thursday. From what I’ve heard, they’re not the greatest company to work for as a conductor, or mostly anything, but I’m in need of a job, so anything will work. Anyway, on to the point of the post - has anybody here heard of or taken the Industrial Reading Test? I’m more than sufficient in reading/writing, however the word “Industrial” doesn’t exactly make me smile. Any light on what this is? I majorly appreciate the help!

You might get help sooner with a posting labeled “Industrial Reading Test” and not just IRT.

IRT to most railfans means New York’s first subway system and North America’s first real rapid-transit subway system, as opposed to a single line temporoary operation.
