Is a railroad bridge off topic?

According to an anonymous source the City of Des Moines and IAIS are going to redo one of the bridges crossing the DSM river to the way it looked before the CRI&P went bankrupt

Jordan Station Railway Bridge in Jordan Ontario, Town of Lincoln in the Niagara Region. Hope to model this bridge scene and Jordan station as it was in the 1950s (keyword hope).

You can see the pillars of the old GWR (possibly GTR) bridge beside it. Photo below shows the original bridge and those pillars.

Great scene. Difficult to see on foot though (a canoe is better!) There is a nice drone shot of it on that Historic Birdges site.

Those Pictures look really good @pwaka88, that’s a big piece of history I guess since it was associated with the GTW

Might been the Great Western Railway instead of the Grand Trunk that actually built it. Would have to do more digging. They merged with the GTR regardless.

Let me know if you do find anything, ill do some digging myself too

The more modern one would have to be Grand Trunk which eventually became Canadian National. These days still Canadian National and I believe Canadian Pacific (may be wrong on the CPKC. They have tracks rights in the south of the region for sure)

After some more digging, there was a wooden bridge prior to the stone pier bridge which would have been the Great Western railway (Ontario).

Possibly, wooden GWR bridge 1853, then those stone piers 1867.

The more modern bridge is at least 1902 (photo verified) but may be older and possiblt GTR built.

Here is the fantastic drone shot of the area by Ed Blasinski in 2020

Thanks for the info @pwaka88, that helps and glad CPKC still uses it
