Is April 2017 seems to have more trains derailing then normal?

Seems that CSX and NS are spilling trains all over the place. Would this have to do with a rather dry winter and ground conditions in April. There has not been a siganifagant rain storm in the Northeast in at least 3 weeks. The ground here in NOVA is bone dry.

No. Do you?

CSX derailed three grain hoppers going into the Case Farms at Shelby NC today check out the Shelby Star web.

“siganifagant” Is this a portmanteau word (ref: Lewis Carroll)? If so, what other words does it contain?

It’s spring time. The ground heaves and subsides while thawing out. Happens about this same time every year. It can, and does make trackwork less stable.

Just the annual spring surge in alarmists.
