Is Flexxbed the perfect roadbed?

I just received a small order of Flexxbed. I havent actually used it yet but it seems like it will be incredibly easy to work with. Plus it come in various thickness with the extra plus of offering a subroadbed that I havent seen from anyone else. Having previously used both Homabed and cork on layouts long ago, this stuff just looks like the cat’s meow. I dont know how well it would hold spikes. I intend to glue handmade track using Fast Tracks jigs. Before I order a bunch more of this, is there a disadvantage to it I’m missing?

It looks OK, but I wouldn’t use it for ready made track. Homasote really works good for hand laying track and will be hard to beat. I would test it first before ordering more to make sure the spikes will hold and stay there.
