Is it OK to run engine with DCC decoder on DC

Hello,
Since my Zephyr died, I wonder if it will be OK to run the engines with DCC decoders on DC?

It depends on the decoder. Many decoders are auto sensing and will switch from DCC to DC operation. Some require a manual switch to be made. Some, like the majority of the Soundtraxx decoders are not able to be run on DC without damaging the decoder. Take a look in the documentation for he loco (if it came with DCC installed) or the decoder documentation to see if what you have is compatible.

It is OK as long as you set up the decoder to operate under both methods. Otherwise i believe the engine will just sit there. It won’t hurt it.

My engines run on DC and I don’t know if it is good for it?

Doesn’t hurt if you know the decoder is built to take DC. Operate away.
