Is John's Ballast available? From John's Lab, Arlington Heights, Illinois?

Nothing in yellow pages or googled. Started with that ballast and it does pretty good.

Thanks to any responders.

I used to use John’s Ballast, too, and I haven’t new stock in at least twenty years. (Some older hobby shops sometimes have an old bag or two, usually of an odd color, laying around.)

I live in the Chicago area, and spent most of my life in the Northwest Suburbs, and none of the local hobby shops has John’s Ballast, and hasn’t for years.

I think it’s safe to assume that John’s Lab went out of business a long time ago.

There’s an outfit in Arizona, I forget the name, that makes real pulverized stone ballast. They might be worth a look.

That was the outfit I was thinking of.

Arizona Rock and Mineral Products

Another one that might interest you is Highball Products. Their product is a lot better than the WS stuff. They don’t have a web site, but Klein stocks most of their stuff.
