is microsoft train simulator avalable yet.

Is the newest train simulatorfrom microsoft avalable yet if so where in Canada can a person purchase this.[:)]

nope - MS killed it

Is the competitor to train simulator a better game or are they about the same when you add in all the add-ons from maple leaf

Kraig

Trainz isn’t as good as MSTS but TATS and TMTS look better.

TATS isn’t out yet is it, the previews sure look good though!

Yeah, finially a sim (maybe “sims” if TMTS also has it) that has multiplayer.

One thing I wouldn’t mind seeing, although it’ll probably never happen, would be a multiplayer where one persons the engineer and the other is the conductor. the conductor could be the only person to make cuts and such, and, well I don’t know what else, but I’m sure somebody could think of more neat things with this idea. Like I said, I doubt it will ever happen though.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but what is TATS?

There is a multiplayer add-on for MSTS. I have to find it again. I believe it is a free download from 3dTrains. I will look for where I saw it and get back to you with a link.

Not from 3dtrains. 3dtrainsstuff made some things for thier routes, but their is no true multiplayer

What is TATS and TMTS??

Thank you in advance,

P

Trainartisan Train Sim and Trainmaster Train Sim

Anyone know why Microsoft killed the new MSTS?

Like Rush Limbaugh says, “Follow the money!”

When is Tats coming out?I happen to have loved their stuff and I will wait to re buy MSTS if it is soon. Will MSTS stuff work for it though?Like the downloads from other builders?I have my eye on a few cars adn locos from train-sim.com

What’s TAT’s and MSTS??

TATS is from Trainartisan. Haven’t heard spit on it in a long time.

TMTS is from the folks who brought you Raildriver. They bought the Trainmaster program and are redoing it from the ground up. It will blow your socks off. They are also working to make everything but activities backward compatible.

The one thing I would like to see in a train sim is the behavior of steam to reflect the current state of the locomotive.

For example if I am driving the NYC 4-6-4 Hudson with a passenger train on the NE corridor and I throttle back for a station stop the sounds should change to reflect that instead of chugging along on the one sound file assigned to the train speed.

That is a mark of a true sim.

I have also made a few activities for MSTS which I think is more fun than the actual sim. However, while MSTS is much better than anything previosly available, it still has a lot of room for improvement.
