In Cowboy Action Shooting there is are a few “classified ads” boards where people buy and sell guns. Sometimes they are restricted from dealers other times not. The community of shooters is small enough that we know who the dealers are.

Is there an MRR classified ads board somewhere? (If not Model Railroading should consider it providing one.)

MR and Craftsman have classified ad sections in the back of the magazines, which USED to run several pages. Ebay and discussion forums have basically killed them off.

There are For Sale / Trade forum sections on both the TrainBoard and RailWire forums.

I also occasionally look at the Yahoo Groups N Scale Model Railroading group. They allow for sale postings on the 1st and 15th of every month, but that’s N scale specific.

There are probably more, but these are ones that I know of.
