Is this really CSX?

As a New Yorker, CSX is the closest operating class I railroad to me. However, I was wondering if CSX is a good company to its employees. Its site claims that it is one of the top 50 places to work for veterans, but the website below claims that it is a horrible company. I don’t know.

Disgruntled former employee site, I bet where ever you work everyone can find something to grumble about. However from what I have been told first hand, NS is a better company to work for than CSX, I guess NS is “a little” more flexible and reasonable in scheduling than CSX.

I learned that from an NS conductor who worked for CSX for 8 years

dont know about that site…anywhere ya go theres gonna be disgruntled employees…i worked for CSX Detroit Division from 96 to 01…rating from 1 the worse 10 the best as far as “nice place to work” about a 6 or 7…TM’s and YM’s mostly were decent…but…at the time there seemed to be a overwhelming displeasure for the upper upper managment…CEO Charman and such…back then the NS was the “worse place to work” even their own employees would call it the “nazi southern”

NS USE to be the more unberable of the to carriers to work for…but since NS got ride of the man that made them the hard nosed outfit they where (tony ingram) they have become a little easier to work for… but… on the other side of the coin…csx picked him up and he brought some of the hard nosed managment style to csx
