Is this the longest mainline that fits into my 23’ x 12’ room?
Radius in the picture is 24", black is the main, yellow is the fascia.
Asuming Black is the main, then it seems to be the most you could fit… It seems to get a long run without seeming too uniform and still provides ample operating space.
That’s pretty darn good for the space. The only concern I would have is access. How do you plan to get in. Duckunder?

Yes, it will be a duck under or something like that. I don’t like the idea of duck unders at all, but I think it’s the best I can do with my limited space. And if I build it with 3 levels it’s going to be pretty big.
I saw the photos from the support topic, that looks really good, and should be enough to carry the weight . Is the space actually 2 rooms, a larger one, then a doorway to a smaller one? If so, rather than punch holes for the trains to go through, they’ll just go through the doorway too.
I like the helix placement. In that location, it can be used for all 3 levels, giving you one very long main.
I also saw your other topic showing the area you wanted to model. No wonder you need a long main. Maybe the thing to do is place your staging on the lowest level of the peninsula so the helix feeds directly into it. Put Denver on one wall bottom level, Salt Lake on the top next to the helix, and Pueblo middle level also near the helix. Then design the track work in such a way that each main city has direct access to staging, east, west, and south.
Wow, you have very good ideas. I played around with some staging, and there is a lot of possibilites in this trackplan. Time to go to bed now. The clock is 23:25 here in Sweden… [zzz]

Elctro: That looks real good. It’s shows imagination and a great use of the area. With 3 levels you will need a roll under rather than a duck under. The duck maybe clostraphobic. That’s a joke. Anyway have fun.
