A few months ago, I saw a Canadian National locomotive pulling a mixed freight train through Missouri on the BNSF transcon. What’s the deal? I don’t think Canadian National has trackage rights through there. Would the BNSF be using a CN locomotive?
Yes, its either payback for 2 BNSF dash 9’s that got wrecked , or payback hours. Nothing strange there.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Ny first Double post EVER on ANY FORUM [:(][xx(][V]
I remebered this post when I saw a coal train going west through Nebraska headed by two CSX motors on BNSF tracks. That’s foreign power for us!
Mook
…Just a few days ago saw too 6 axle Union Pacific engines heading a freight east though Muncie on the double main of CSX line here…No CSX engines at all in lash up.
Strange things happen sometimes… Railroads are always swapping power for this, that, or the other thing. I remember hearing stories about other railroads “borrowing” WC’s power because it was so well-maintained…

OMG!!! They must be merging!!!
(That was for you ed, LOL)
Just today I saw a lashup of two NS engines, no other power, leading a train across the Bearing Cross Bridge into Little Rock. Seeing foreign power, even Canadian power, and sometimes TFN power, in Arkansas is getting old. [;)] [:D]
But you know the odd mix of power these days does help make it more interesting. [:p]
The other day I thought I saw a Soo Line locomotive on the BNSF (Aurora sub in Illinois).
is this possible? are there still soo line locos running around.
I could be wrong, the train was obscured by trees and I could only see bits and pieces.
not trying to hijack this post but the question seemed aproprate here.

Last time I saw a Soo locomotive was in the late 90s, but a few are probably still around.
i have saw several soo locomotives in the past few years, 12 to be exact, and 7 of them were still in the white scheme!!
There are about 20 locomotives left in the SOO scheme here in the Twin Ports and Wisconsin, and many others around elsewhere, not to mention a few “bandits”!
SOO SD60Ms (red) and SOO SD40s (white) do make appearances on CP so it is no surprise they find themselves elsewhere in North America.
They"re everywhere up in the Twin Cities.
