iso information about 2 sets

Hi,

I have two sets of ho trains packed away. One is a Johnson Wax company set and the other is Ralston Purina. Has anyone seen sets like these? And where would I find information about these? I know I’ve had them packed up in the closet for about 15 years. Please contact me off forum at joellam @ verizon.net ( please remove spaces). Thanks. Joella

I have a feeling that Joella is not going to be a very active forum member and may not even revisit this topic. I don’t know what “iso information” about HO sets might be; but I guess I will tell her, in case she does return, that she should post it on the Model Railroader forum, where HO is discussed, rather than here.

Lionelsoni,

ISO means, is seeking/searching of something.

As for the sets,Tyco made a Johnsons Wax set as an promo item in the early 80’s.

The Purina set I think was made by Bachmann from about the same time.

You can find more info here.http://http://tycotrain.tripod.com/tycotrains/index.html

Hope this helps!

ps. Maybe Mr.Nelson might be a bit more understanding and not such a smarty pants the next time someone needs help!Remember you were a beginner at one time![2c]

I think you’re the wise guy here . Mr. Nelson was very nice about it , showing a little sense of humor. Kids read here, so watch your language .

csxt30,

I don’t mean to offend anyone here so I changed my post so it is more appropriate.

I’ts just that when a new person has a question to ask sometimes someone has a wise crack to say or is rude to them,I may not post here often but I read this forum every day!

I find that this forum has a lot of knowledgable people here and I learn a lot,and I also try to answer questions or help someone else.

So please don’t call me a wise guy sir!

I will admit to being miffed at the dismissive tone of Joella’s “Please contact me off forum…” I welcome beginners and think I have helped a few of them; but I doubt that Joella is planning to start playing with trains. Perhaps she will correct me.
