It has been fun!

I took a year off from work to build my dream and got it to the running Stage thanks to help from my friends and over 2200 hours. This forum was a BIG help getting me over the DCC learning curve (Thanks Randy R) some good points on the intial design (thanks Spacemouse) and genral help from Selector a quit a few other poeple.

I have to work with my other hobby this year and will have very little time for the layout till I get his major list done in 2007. As some may know I collect real exotic cars and show them and do seminars on Leather Restoration all over the world. It is this Hobby (JOB) I must get back to. My wife Krysti has been holding down the fort with the phones and keeping the people happy about me NOT being at their function. Well I start the crazy season on the FLorida in January and then we go to, Texas, Chicago, Pa, Va, Mass, NYC, NJ, VA, Wahington State and Ca. I do not fly so it is all driving.

I will hang on the forum and try and help to new folks wth the DCC questions that I can.

If you see a 28ft Car Carrier with “LEATHERIQUE” on the side toot a horn, that will be Krysti and I.

I know how life can get sometimes.

Stop in once in a while, OK?

Till then just know you’ll be missed.

Don’t you just hate it when the crass necessities of making a living interfere with model railroading?[:D]

At least you get to see a lot of the country. Think about the poor guys who work somewhere in the middle of one of those windowless establishments, whose only view of the outdoors is the route of the daily commute.

While traveling, working away from home and dealing with clients, remember that these forums are only an internet connection away.

Looking forward to hearing from you, whenever you can spare the time.

George, you have done something that many will have dreamed of doing, but very few will have actually attempted. Now I think it is time to start design work on a nice switching shelf layout that you can have in the carrier!! Good luck to you and safe travels.

WOW!!! Just think of all the obscure little hobby shops along the way with that old item that is just what you need, good luck.

Good luck, George. You will undoubtedly tackle this with the same energy and determination, so I wish you no great success…you are sure to achieve it anyway. [:D]

Best wishes, and I hope you drop in often.
