Well another year comes to a close and low and behold here comes the Sperry car again. It’s bad enough that the track department is trying to fix 230 miles of track with bandaids, then they throw the Sperry car in for laughs. Well no not really because it has a set schedule for testing up here. The track gangs are loving the overtime along with the train crews because a usuall 7 hour trip from Massena to Syracuse has turned into a 11 or 12 hour trip. The trainmaster is pulling out his hair because most of the train crews are turning into pumpkins at 12 hours, usually 20 or 30 miles from either terminal. Allbeit a neccessary evil it really does reek havoc around here. Bad enough we seem to be the subdivision that CSX forgot.
Thought I heard them talking about SRS the other day up around Philly, NY.
And if it’s any consolation, I heard SRS on the Saginaw Sub in Michigan today…
